The Hilton Boston Park Plaza has been a classic since 1927. Construction on the hotel began in 1925 and it opened to the public on March 10, 1927 as “The Statler Hotel,” named after its visionary owner. For five decades, it was the largest independent hotel in New England and eighth largest hotel in the world! This hotel has not only hosted dignitaries like Winston Churchill and President Franklin D. Roosevelt, but it has also been graced by Hollywood royalty including Katherine Hepburn and Judy Garland.
